About
🌳 ISLA (Institute for Amazonian Linguistic Sustainability) is an initiative dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of indigenous languages of the Amazon through technology and innovation.
Founded with the purpose of protecting the rich linguistic diversity of the Amazon, ISLA works on documenting, cataloging and making available linguistic resources from indigenous and traditional communities in the region. Our platform provides tools to facilitate publishing, sharing and accessing linguistic data, including dictionaries, grammars, traditional texts and educational materials.
ISLA serves researchers, linguists, educators, indigenous communities and organizations interested in preserving and promoting Amazonian linguistic diversity. Our work contributes to maintaining the cultural memory and identity of the region's peoples.
